Kevin E. Modrich, 53, of Cave Junction died during the Super Bowl game, Sunday, February 5, 2012, in Selma of medical complications.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 21st, at St. Patrick of the Forest Catholic Church in Cave Junction. Chapel of the Valley – L.B. Hall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.chapel-valley.com.

Kevin was born January 1, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois and lived most of his life in the Illinois Valley, graduating from Illinois Valley High School in 1978. He worked as a professional carpenter and never married.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Gene and Alice Modrich of Eugene; his brother Michael Modrich of Cheshire; seven nieces and nephews and four grandnieces and nephews. His mother, Marla Modrich, died in 2002, and his sister, Anita Yeoman, died in 2007.
